About Grant Tate
Grant Tate is a cofounder and CEO of BBTx Consulting located in Charlottesville, VA. BBTx transforms businesses to grow and thrive in the 21st century. He also founded Bridgewater Research Group, NL, BV (BRG) in the Netherlands. BRG led efforts to introduce distance education across the European Union.
Before starting his firm, Grant held several executive posts at IBM. As Director of Organization for the Systems Products Division, he engineered several major reorganizations. He also turned around a large software development center. As Director of Manufacturing Planning, he led technology transfer and strategic planning for manufacturing plants in 10 different countries. Other posts included managing quality assurance, introducing new products into overseas production, and introducing the IBM personal computer into Europe.
Dr. Tate was on the faculty of the School of Advanced Studies at the U. of Phoenix, Teikyo University Holland, U. of New Mexico, and Pace University. He also served as Executive Director of the Connecticut Institute of Technology and was the co-founder of two innovation centers to promote high-technology business start-ups.
Grant and his business partner are leading efforts to help individuals and organizations learn about artificial intelligence and use it productively and responsibly. Grant's latest book, Hand on the Shoulder: Finding freedom in the confluence of love and career, has recently been published and is available at most major online bookstores.
