About Grant Tate
Grant Tate is a cofounder and CEO of Bridge Business Transformations (BBx) located in Charlottesville, VA, and Houston, TX. BBx transforms businesses so they grow and thrive in the 21st century. Dr. Tate also founded Bridgewater Research Group, NL, BV (BRG) in the Netherlands. BRG led efforts to introduce distance education across the European Union.
Before starting his firm, Grant held several executive posts at IBM. As Director of Organization for the Systems Products Division, he engineered several major reorganizations. He also turned around a large software development center. As Director of Manufacturing Planning, he led technology transfer and strategic planning for manufacturing plants in 10 different countries. Other posts included managing quality assurance, introducing new products into overseas production, and introducing the IBM personal computer into Europe.
Dr. Tate was on the faculty of the School of Advanced Studies at the U. of Phoenix, Teikyo University Holland, U. of New Mexico, and Pace University. He also served as Executive Director of the Connecticut Institute of Technology and was the co-founder of two innovation centers to promote high-technology business start-ups.
